Damosa Land Inc., has firmed up an agreement with Colliers International Philippines for property management and landlord representation services
Manila, 10 July 2019 - Davao’s homegrown top real estate developer, Damosa Land Inc., has firmed up an agreement with Colliers International Philippines for property management and landlord representation services of Damosa Diamond Tower, a premium office space development located at the heart of the first-ever PEZA-accredited Damosa IT Park in Davao City. The service engagement covers pre-operations consultancy, putting in place an integrated construction and operations team to ensure efficiency and sustainability of the fully integrated BPO, Retail, Office and Commercial building.
Cary Lagdameo, vice president of Damosa Land commented: “Creating an integrated team at the onset emphasizes valuable connections and partnerships between contractors, project managers, operators and tenants and as we think about areas of opportunity for integration and synergy throughout the design, construction and operation of this building, we have Colliers on board to ensure a seamless transition and implement best practices across all service lines for our client’s satisfaction.”
The Diamond Tower is a 15-storey commercial building with an innovative green roof deck. It features a host of sustainable technology such as LED lighting, solar panels, and ecofriendly insulation. This BPO building is committed to harnessing renewable energy, with a connection to the main grid and access to alternative power sources. It is accessibly situated along JP Laurel Ave., a 15-minute ride from Davao International Airport and 5 to 10 minutes away from convention centers, malls, hotels and medical centers. With a typical floorplate of 1,600 sqm and an expansive 3.5m ceiling height, the building is set to provide corporate spaces for different commercial and BPO industries in first quarter of 2020.
The office tower’s architecture and engineering were developed by some of the most trusted names in the country. From the sleek curved lines, to the woven banana fiber panels, and the custom-made exterior fins that divert heat and dance with the light like a diamond, everything in Damosa Diamond Tower was inspired by the very best things Davao has to offer.
Jet Ilaga, Colliers Philippines’ executive director for real estate management services said, “This is one of the most significant milestones in Damosa Land’s history and as the market leader in office development in Davao, we take pride in this partnership and leverage our global expertise in building management for Damosa Diamond Tower. Equally excited to break records of their first successful residential development, Seawind Residences in terms of advance construction methodologies and project completion.”
Meanwhile, the Damosa Diamond Tower is Colliers International Philippines’ first exclusive landlord representation project in Davao.
“We see Davao as one of the most competitive outsourcing hubs outside of Metro Manila,” said Andrew Gomez, Colliers Philippines’ director for landlord representation. Davao is one of only three Philippine cities included in Tholons’ Top 100 Super Cities for global outsourcing operations. In the 2019 edition of the global poll, Davao ranked 95th. Gomez added that, “Colliers sees major and discerning outsourcing locators opening shop in Davao City in the next two to three years and this should prop up office space demand in the area.”
Colliers International notes that Davao City is one of the fastest growing and most competitive cities in the country. The strong macroeconomic fundamentals as well as efficient infrastructure and streamlined business registration processes continue to entice even non-outsourcing firms in the city. “We see private firms providing financial, logistics and law services as well as government agencies contributing to strong office take up in the city moving forward,” noted Gomez.
