The Mangrove Beach Resort on Curaçao becomes part of the Curio Collection
Corendon concludes a franchise agreement with Hilton in Curaçao. Established in 2020, the Mangrove Beach Resort will become part of the Hilton family. The resort belongs to Curio Collection, an exclusive brand of the hotel chain. Hilton has been looking for a hotel on the island for a long time. With this transaction, Hilton, like many other large hotel chains, is also present on the island.
Corendon was founded in 2000 and is a Turkish/Dutch specialist in flying holidays. After this agreement, Corendon still has the Livingstone Jan Thiel Resort on Curaçao. With this acquisition, American travelers from tour operator Hilton will also be reached in addition to Dutch consumers.
Hilton was founded in Texas in 1919 and has hotels worldwide. Originally it was established for business travelers but nowadays there are also many popular holiday destinations. The Mangrove Beach Resort will have its own identity, but will be connected to the Hilton network. Hilton's Curio Collection already has more than 100 unique hotels and resorts around the world.
The Mangrove Beach resort has 399 spacious rooms and has a private beach. There are four swimming pools, several restaurants and all kinds of activities. Within walking distance is Willemstad where many shops, bars and restaurants can be found.
Colliers advised Corendon together with CMS during this transaction.
