Dutch Industrial Carnegie Fund 1 BV has purchased a commercial building at Weberstraat 1 in Purmerend. The current main tenant, a company active in the wholesale of cleaning products, materials and machines, has signed a long-term lease agreement.
The property of about 6,000 sqm is situated on a plot of 11,087 sqm at a good location on business park Baanstee-West in Purmerend and is thus a strategic purchase for Dutch Industrial Carnegie Fund 1 BV, investor in and developer of commercial real estate in the Randstad. This purchase is the fifth in a short time by the Carnegie Fund and fits within the Carnegie Fund objective to build up a portfolio of 75-100 million euro light industrial buildings within twelve months.
The building on Weberstraat has an excellent location and accessibility. The industrial area has a large diversity of users. Besides main tenant HAZET, the building has several small tenants. "Due to the enormous pressure and lack of product on the industrial investment market in the big cities, we notice that investors are moving towards the peripheral areas. Here the combination of quality of product and user is important." says Roderick Kuitert, Associate Director Agency at Colliers.
Dutch Industrial Carnegie Fund 1 BV was advised in the purchase process by Colliers. The seller was assisted by De Heul Vastgoed.
