European Residential REIT buys 294 homes in the Netherlands

The Canadian, European Residential REIT, in collaboration with its largest shareholder and local asset manager CAPREIT, has purchased a residential portfolio for 67.3 million euros from Syntrus Achmea Real Estate & Finance, which acts on behalf of one of its clients.

The residential portfolio consists of nine residential complexes with a total of 294 single and multi-family homes and 39 parking facilities. The complexes are located in Leiderdorp, Hoorn, Dronten, Beuningen, Krimpen aan den IJssel, Mierlo-Hout, The Hague, Deurne and Dieren. The construction years of the houses vary from 1966 to 1995.

Syntrus Achmea received commercial assistance from Colliers International and legal assistance from Core Notariaat. The buyer was advised by Loyens & Loeff.
