Developers continue to sacrifice the size of the apartments to keep them affordable
For the last few years we have seen increased activity in the new apartment market - last year the total primary market deal value reached 158 mEUR, while in the first 8 months of this year already 131 mEUR. Even though number of transactions and total deal value have been increasing, apartments continue to get smaller. This is both the tendency coming from abroad of micro living, as well as developers need to adjust to increasing construction costs vs limited potential buyers purchasing power.
