Draugiem Group company Printful Latvia almost doubled its team during the pandemic, reaching a total of 560 people. In preparation for the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions, the company is setting up its newest office in a recently renovated building at the intersection of Raina Boulevard and Krisjana Barona Street. Colliers Office Agency team helped to execute the transaction.
“We congratulate both parties with the transaction. While many companies are still trying to figure out their future way of work due to Covid effect, Printful is showing an example of dedication to their employees wishes and taking care of their well-being. We truly believe that this cooperation will be pleasant and successful for all parties and Colliers team was happy to be involved in the process that succeeded and established solid partnership. This deal is a remarkable milestone in Riga office market development as it shows the trend of companies returning to the offices as well as their demand for high quality premises in central location,” – adds Eriks Bergmans, Head of Agency at Colliers.
“We’ve been working remotely for more than a year now. 92% of the Printful team expressed a wish to return to the office full-time or in part after the restrictions are lifted. However, due to the rapidly growing number of employees, further company development requires additional space. Therefore, in addition to our offices in Pardaugava, Marupe, and Cesis, we’re setting up an office in the very center of Riga, which will allow teammates living in the city center to have a shorter commute,” explains Printful CEO and co-founder Davis Siksnans, adding that work from the new office could start as early as this year.
The office building is located at 25 Raina Boulevard. The building was built in 1972 based on the project of Latvian architect Olgerts Ostenbergs. An extensive building renovation, designed by Italian architect Adriano Castiglioni, was completed this year. The 7 floors and more than 3,000 m2 area space will be the home of 200 ergonomic workplaces, meeting and common areas, an employee café, as well as a 400 m2 roof top. The office is located close to the Riga Central Station, the International Bus Station, and other important public transportation hubs.
“The existing Printful offices are located in a natural, green environment. When we move into the new office in the city center, we’ll create a green outdoor space in the front of this building as well. This way, we’ll also contribute to creating Riga, a people-friendly city,” comments Davis Siksnans.
The office is designed according to accessibility standards and equipped with an elevator, low thresholds, and wheelchair-accessible restrooms. The building is compliant with modern energy efficiency requirements and equipped with the next-generation centralized drinking water system, powerful air recovery equipment, UVC lamps, and ozone generators to limit the risks of spreading allergens and viruses. As in other Printful offices, bicycle storage and charging points for electric cars will also be available at 25 Raina Boulevard. Printful has signed a long-term lease agreement for the whole building located at 25 Raina Boulevard with the real estate investment and management company Baltic RE Group AS.
“We’re very proud that Printful, such a reputable and reliable company, has chosen our property at 25 Raina Boulevard,” comments Giovanni dalla Zonca, CEO and founder of Baltic RE Group, “we wanted this property to be friendlier to the environment and make working spaces more pleasant and creative. Our company values matched Printful’s and it resulted in a partnership to create an innovative building, respectful of the environment and the wellbeing of people.”
