In the war for talents, employers are looking for high-quality office space, mostly in the centre of Riga, to attract the best employees. Many companies admit that finding offices that fit such criteria is becoming increasingly difficult. A central location is sought after for a variety of reasons, one of which is public transport availability, as the employers are looking for ways to make the logistics easier for their employees, and having offices in the centre of Riga means that most people are able to get there easily, whether they live on either of the banks of the river Daugava or in the outskirts of Riga. Apart from the accessibility of public transport, other infrastructure, such as shops, banks, and other institutions, are also of great importance, as having them close by can make everyday life easier and minimise the stress of scheduling.

Next spring, the list of Riga office buildings will be extended, adding the new and modern Origo One business centre, developed by Linstow Center Management. Offices will be located on the 4th, 5th, and 6th floors of the building, while the first three floors will be dedicated to the shopping centre. With the opening of the building, the Riga office market will be expanded by 11,500 m2. The sizes of the new offices for lease range from 200 m2 up to even 5000 m2, which is very impressive, making this the first office building in Riga that will be able to accommodate large companies or a group of companies with 400 and more employees on one single floor.


Origo One is a classic mixed-use project that combines both the functions of a shopping centre and an office building. The benefits of this type of building have already been highly appreciated in many European countries and have in fact become common practice. For employees, having grocery stores, gyms, medical centres, and various other service centres in close vicinity to their office, facilitates their daily life, reducing scheduling problems. In addition, this significantly reduces the use and the flow of transport in the immediate area, as well as the negative impacts that come with it, as all the necessary services and goods can be found in one place. 

Although Origo One business centre will be located in the same building as a shopping centre, its tenants will be provided with a separate entrance, thus reducing the flow of people and providing the necessary privacy.

Special attention has been paid to improvements of a social nature, making the Origo One working environment especially employee friendly. Despite working in the very centre of the city with intense flows of traffic and people, the employees will have the opportunity to have breaks in any of the 5 green gardens inside the building, each of which has its own concept and visual solution. Continuing with the theme of nature, there will also be an atrium, crossing the entire building and allowing the daylight to flow freely and fill the heart of the building, creating a welcoming and cosy atmosphere.

The facade solutions of the building were carefully designed to harmonise with the surrounding environment and to respect its historical heritage. In order to create a complete image, the existing Origo shopping centre building will also be renovated both inside and out.

Moreover, the project developers are contributing hugely to the improvement of the surrounding infrastructure. Linstow Center Management have undertaken the rebuilding of the intersection of Elizabetes and Satekles streets, transforming this dangerous area into a regulated and safe zone for all traffic participants. As for cyclists, the Elizabetes cycle lane will be extended up to the Origo One underground car park, where 100 bicycle parking spots will be created. The car park of the new building will be extended to 250 parking spaces and connected with the existing underground parking. Electric car charging stations will also be provided.

With its opening approaching, interest in the Origo One office building is growing rapidly. Representatives of various industries have shown interest in it and several companies from the media, consumer goods, telecommunications, information technology, finance, and service sectors have already chosen the Origo One business centre as a place for developing their business. Tenants have already been found for around 40% of the office space and the entry of the first tenants has been scheduled for spring 2020, immediately after the building is opened.
