In 2020, High market volatility due to new supply and large tenant's relocation

We expect 2020 to be a year of high volatility due to new supply in the market coupled with a wave of large-scale tenant relocations.

Growing opportunities exist for tenants to consolidate into new headquarters offices in 2020. IT companies still preferred the GBD, and financial companies preferred the YBD. However, building-specific features and benefits and becoming just as important as the choice of area. We recommend landlords improve services such as building quality and upgrade ageing facilities to retain tenants, especially as the market becomes more tenant-favourable.
