After graduating from a business school in the states, Mr. Hasegawa started his professional career at Merrill Lynch in Tokyo, Japan. Later, at a subsidiary of GE, Mr. Hasegawa, a buyside investor, sourced and executed mainly alternative assets of real estate securitized products such as CMBS, Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities, as well as J-REIT equities/bonds.
Mr. Hasegawa had the opportunities to work at Tokyo Star Bank, a commercial bank, and Barclays, a UK investment bank. Working at these financial institutions, as a credit analyst Mr. Hasegawa undertook to analyze and monitor non -recourse loans backed by real estate assets.
