In Italy has been recorded a volume of 5.1 billions, marking a slight increase of 6% compared to the same period in 2020. Yet it remains in the last five years medium.


Key points:

  • In terms of asset class, I&L continues to reach new records; for the first time, it became the first asset class in the Italian market, surpassing the offices.
  • As for the other asset classes, the offices maintain their interest but mainly for core operations.
  • In terms of nationality, the market in Italy remains dominated by foreign investors.
  • Therefore, prime yields remain at the low levels reached before the crisis
  • The only rising yields are those of retail, in particular of shopping centres

As a professional with over 15 years of experience in real estate, Silvio has consolidated experience in both the national and international real estate sector, having held important roles in Unicredit, where he managed a portfolio of over € 10 billion in 19 countries, and JLL Italia, where he headed the Office Capital Markets department. Over the years, he has worked on real estate transactions amounting to over € 8 billion, with particular mention going to the acquisition of Immobilien Holding in Austria and Monte Rosa 91, the sale of Melchiorre Gioia 22 and Torre Velasca in Milan and the “I Tolentini” complex in Rome.

Silvio Sancilio has a Degree in Architectural Engineering, followed by an MBA obtained in Italy and the United States.
