Since the beginning of the year, the market has reached € 8.9 bn. The investment volume continues to benefit from the strong activity before the summer.

 

Some key points:

  • Five large transactions above € 100 million were recorded, four in Milan and one portfolio with properties in Milan and Rome
  • The office sector remains the most interesting for the city of Milan
  • In Rome, major transactions are expected in the hotel sector by the end of the year
  • Although transactions in logistics properties have been significant, a slowdown in the market is beginning to be observed compared to the previous quarter

Silvio Sancilio heads the Capital Markets division for Colliers Italia and leads a team of professionals specialised in the Office, Living, Logistics, Hotel and Retail Asset Classes.

As a professional with over 15 years of experience in real estate, Silvio has consolidated experience in both the national and international real estate sector, having held important roles in Unicredit, where he managed a portfolio of over € 10 billion in 19 countries, and JLL Italia, where he headed the Office Capital Markets department. Over the years, he has worked on real estate transactions amounting to over € 8 billion, with particular mention going to the acquisition of Immobilien Holding in Austria and Monte Rosa 91, the sale of Melchiorre Gioia 22 and Torre Velasca in Milan and the “I Tolentini” complex in Rome.

Silvio Sancilio has a Degree in Architectural Engineering, followed by an MBA obtained in Italy and the United States.
