Colliers advisor to DeA Capital Real Estate on the lease of Verona Urban Warehouse

The last-mile logistics asset of 25,000 sqm has been leased to a major operator in the food sector with a long-term contract.

13 January 2022 – Colliers Italia acted as advisor to the GO Italia VII Fund managed by DeA Capital Real Estate SGR S.p.A. and fully invested by BentallGreenOak on the lease of Verona Urban Warehouse, a last-mile logistics asset located on Via Palazzina in the Verona urban area. The tenant is a major operator in the food sector that has signed a long-term contract.

The asset is strategically located to provide thorough coverage of Verona, and is very well connected to the Transpolesana motorway, the Turin-Trieste motorway and the Valerio Catullo airport. The property has an area of approximately 25,000 sqm and is characterised by a large number of loading bays, flexible spaces, offices and an ambitious LEED Gold energy certification, due in part to its LED-based lighting and photovoltaic system.

"This transaction stands out for the speed of its execution, coinciding with the completion of construction, and is the result of the work done by a closely knit, highly professional team, but also of the dynamic nature of the asset class and, above all, of the fast-moving consumer goods segment. Even in logistics, the sustainability of the asset and its high energy efficiency are elements appreciated and recognised by the most qualified tenants,” stated Faustino Musicco, Head of Logistics, Last Mile & Data Centers, Colliers Italy.

Logistics, Last Mile & Data Centers

Milan

I have been working in real estate for about 4 years. I started my experience in a real estate agency as a consultant for the activities of buying and selling real estate exclusively in residential orbit. In 2019 I joined the logistics team of World Capital, where my focus was for leasing activities of logistics or industrial assets.

My entry into Colliers took place in July 2021, following the proposal to become part of a very interesting, young, long-term project, with very solid foundations. I accepted without hesitation, aware of how colliers is an international brand recognized all over the world. Today my focus is for letting and investment activities on behalf of the main investors on the market in three different asset classes: logistics, understood as a classic distribution of goods, therefore distribution centers; last mile and data center world, where we expect the highest growth rate between now and the next few years.

My role at Colliers is to be involved within a single team where I deal with both letting and investment activities. This means knowing how to cross and match the demands of the world of capital with those of users.
