The augmentation of our leadership, consistent engagement, and better opportunities were definite clinchers for me to come back.

What prompted you to come back to Colliers?
To all of us, firsts are special. For me, Colliers does have a super special place in my heart, as it marks my official initiation into Tenant Rep (Office Services). However, in a world heavily shrouded by uncertainty owing to the global pandemic, the great resignation, etc, a career move definitely needed more push than just a strong affinity to the brand itself. The rightly timed augmentation of the India Leadership by onboarding leaders like Ramesh Nair, the consistent engagement with regional leaders like Sam Harvey Jones, better opportunity in terms of the role, visibility and empowerment coupled with the long term of vision of building robust teams was too good an opportunity to turn down. Personally, for me, the comfort of working with leaders who want to create high performing cultures where teams can excel combined with Colliers’ warm and people focused culture was a compelling blend of workplace serendipity.
What is the difference in the culture of Colliers now, vs. what you witnessed back then?
From being content with just being a boutique firm, we have definitely covered ground towards becoming bolder, faster and more out there; not only in terms of winning clients but also solutioning for their challenges in innovative ways. The good part is that Colliers has always kept clients at the core of whatever it does. However, the gamechanger is combining this with the right vision and that, I strongly sense this is our differentiator and a much-needed disruptor.
What difference do you see yourself making in the transactions business?
From being the only woman in the team (OS Mumbai) at one point to being able to lead one of the more balanced teams within the ecosystem, is definitely a promising start. It is a welcome change to see other strong women colleagues and leaders, not only enhancing the diversity quotient and adding to the mix but also contributing whole heartedly to the conversations that matter. This is a truly a testament of forward-thinking leadership and the only acceptable way to grow and prosper in the future as a firm.
How do you foresee Colliers' growth in the next 3 years?
We as a team, are completely invested in the growth of Colliers. At the centre of all our decisions lie our clients. Thereby, we surely see us rapidly striding to be the top-of-the-mind recall for all our clients. Challenging the fact that bigger isn’t always better is something that we want to become a living testimony of. Undoubtedly, we are here to stay and create an indelible impression on our clients with our proactive, solution-based and consultative approach #PaintTheCityBlue
