How long have you been in the real estate industry, and how did you come to join Colliers?
I have spent close to two decades in the real estate industry, out of which four years have been in Colliers. What excites me in Colliers is a great team that is always willing to go the extra mile to exceed clients' expectations, the diverse set of talented experts I get to work with every day, and the immense opportunities that have come my way.
How do you think you use your expertise to add value to clients?
I bring my immense expertise in planning whenever I approach any client requirement. For me, my clients and team members are always on priority. At the same time, undertaking demand assessment studies and transactional services, including marketing strategies, I bring in my technical real estate market analysis for transactions expertise.
What is the most fulfilling thing about your role?
The most fulfilling aspect is attracting and growing industry leaders, empowering them to think and act differently to drive exceptional results for our business. Seeing the talent, we are shaping in Colliers and how they cater to our client's requirements is heartening. Can you think of a transaction or project that you're particularly proud of? What did you do to ensure its success?
Though every transaction I am involved in is equally important, I was very proud of a recent transaction where our combined capability led to us successfully closing an 850,000 sq. ft. of lease cum sale transaction in the middle of Covid in Bangalore. During a challenging time, our experts rose to the occasion and left no stone unturned to accelerate our client's success.
I want to attribute this success to reviewing and communicating our strategies with all stakeholders to avoid any roadblocks that could crop up in the transaction.
What do you think the opportunity is for your client's real estate strategies in the current environment?
I think the most significant opportunity for the industry is to reinvent its measures to counter any uncertainty with the digitalization of the workspace and to make strides towards ESG considerations.
