Colliers are pleased to announce four key internal promotions within the Valuation and Advisory Services Department.

James Farrelly - Director of Professional Services

James joined the business to spearhead the development of the Commercial Rates, Compulsory Purchase Order and Landlord & Tenant business lines whilst also providing valuation advisory in areas of healthcare and specialist portfolios. He advises Clients such as AIB, Microsoft, Takeda, JMK Hotel Group, Starwood, BUPA, Virgin Media, ESB, Deloitte, McGarrell Reilly, Enterprise Ireland and various other state bodies

A Chartered Surveyor with over 18 years’ experience, James worked previously with LSH and IPUT.

Rhona Baker – Promoted to Divisional Director

Rhona has been instrumental in the development of various valuation lines within the department and is recognised a leading industry valuer and expert in the Private Rented Sector (PRS) valuing in excess of €1.5 billion of assets annually for Clients including, AIB, BoI, Urbeo, DWS, Roundhill and Carysfort Capital.

Rhona will focus on continuing to provide a first in class service to clients and assist in further developing the departments growth plan over the coming years. With excess 20 years’ experience, Rhona worked previously in JLL.

Laura Torpey – Promoted to Divisional Director

Laura has been a member of the Valuations & Advisory team with Colliers for over 5 years, since joining from JLL, and is an important member of the leadership team within the department. Laura will assist the Head of Department on developing our valuation service lines including Fund Valuations having extensive experience in Capital Markets and fund valuations. Laura has undertaken some of the largest retail shopping centre valuations in the Country including Dundrum Shopping Centre, The Square Shopping Centre, Jervis Shopping Centre and Wilton Shopping Centre among many others.

With more than 12 years’ experience, Laura will continue to assist in the development of the valuation department with a focus on developing the Fund Valuation business line and evolving our existing and new client relationships. 

Abigail Holland – Promoted to Senior Surveyor Hotels and Leisure

Abigail is promoted to senior surveyor and will continue to work with our Head of Hotels, Patrick Ryan. Since joining Colliers in 2019 as a Graduate Surveyor, Abigail has accelerated her career by achieving her APC within 12 months and is fast becoming a key surveyor within this specialist sector.

Abigail will continue to assist in the growth and development of the Hotel and Leisure Valuation Advisory team.

Emmett  joined Colliers International as an Associate Director in 2015, he has previous exerience in a client side Asset Management role with a large NGO with a portfolio of over 250 mixed use assets. He holds in excess of 20 years industry experience across valuations, expert witness, landord and tenant, rent reviews, commercial agency and development.

Head of Landlord & Tenant | Rates | CPO

Dublin

James is Head of Landlord & Tenant, Rates & CPO in Dublin and has been active in the commercial property market throughout Ireland for over 15 years.

James has extensive experience in rent review, lease renewals, valuations, compulsory acquisitions and rates and has worked throughout Ireland representing numerous national and multinational companies.

Rhona Baker

Divisional Director

Dublin

Rhona is a Divisional Director in Colliers' Valuation and Advisory team  undertaking all types of commercial and residential valuations nationwide on behalf of institutions and private clients.   Rhona has excellent and varied experience in all sectors of the market having previously worked on the periodic valuation of a large pension fund portfolio.  Over the past year she has specialised in the valuation of large PRS developments and development appraisals. 

Rhona is also very active with Landlord and Tenant work including rent reviews and lease renewals.

Laura Torpey

Divisional Director

Dublin

Laura undertakes valuations of all types of commercial / investment properties nationwide on behalf of both institutions, and private clients. These valuations are generally undertaken as loan security exercises, accounts purposes or portfolio valuations throughout Ireland. In addition to valuations Laura also undertakes Landlord and Tenant work including; rent reviews and lease renewal negotiations.

Having previously worked in Capital Markets Laura has specialised in investment properties and providing strategic investment advice to institutions and private investors in respect of all aspects of commercial property investment including the marketing and disposal of properties, development advice, portfolio asset management, cash flow appraisals and property acquisitions.

Abigail Holland

Senior Surveyor

Dublin

Abigail joined Colliers International in July 2019 as a Graduate Surveyor and has since successfully completed her APC and is now a Chartered Valuation Surveyor within the  Valuation / Advisory Services and Hotels and Lesiure teams undertaking both Red Book Valuations and advising clients on aquistions / disposals.

Prior to this Abigail worked within the Valuation & Advisory Services and Asset Management teams in CBRE Belfast where she was envoled with numerous rent reviews and lease renewals as well as assisting on the Asset Management of various shopping centres.

Abigail gained residential experience where she worked alongiside a residential surveyor assisting on numerous mortgage surveys and dealing in all aspects of the sales negotiation process.
