Director Valuation & Advisory Services
Paul has over 30 years experience as a Chartered Surveyor having worked in London for both Local Government and in the property department of a high street bank, following which he returned to Dublin and ran the Valuation & Professional Services Department of one of the countries oldest independently owned firms of Chartered Surveyors for over 20 years. In 2011, Paul joined the National Asset Management Agency ( NAMA), where amongst other things he oversaw the sale and marketing of over €1bn worth of assets including a key landmark site in the Mayfair area of London. Following NAMA, Paul joined AIB Banks Plc to work with senior management to determine the banks' property lending strategy and ultimatley, he oversaw the Valuations workstream as part of the banks deleveraging strategy to reduce the Non-Performing Loanbook.
Accomplishments
- Running one of the countries largest Valuation & Professional Services Departments with over 20 Chartered Surveyors
- Overseeing the disposal of a number of Office portfolios for NAMA and generating over €1bn in revenue
- Defining and informing the Property Lending strategy of AIB Bank and working alongside senior lending teams on some of the largest financing transactions over recent years
- Establishing and running the NPL valuation workstream in AIB as a key part of the bank complying with the requirements of the ECB
