Introduction

WPP is the creative transformation company. With over 100,000 people in 110 countries WPP uses the power of creativity to build better futures for people, planet clients and communities. The new Jakarta Campus at RDTX Place brings together people from all WPP companies to work in a technologically integrated, highly collaborative and sustainable workspace. Therefore, receiving LEED Gold certification for the WPP Campus was a critical goal for the project, given it is the most widely recognised environmental building rating system.

Strategy/Services

Colliers started by assessing the potential points from the design and the base building location to calculate the initial scorecard. Several aspects to be reviewed were location and transportation, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources, indoor environmental quality, innovation and regional priority.

Colliers establish plan and monitor the action plan to maximize the achieved points by provide list of sustainable materials, efficient water and mechanical/electrical fixture, calculate the energy efficiency, conduct fundamental and enhanced commissioning, provide sustainable campaign materials etc.

Challenge

Due to the Covid-19 situation, the construction was taken longer time compared to the schedule. The number of workers was reduced, the site was few times closed and limited access to visit the site. Most of the coordination meeting were held online, the site visit were limited to progress checking and testing commissioning activities.

LEED project certification requires commitment and collaboration of all stakeholders namely the project owner, building management, designers, contractors and occupants. Colliers's role is to ensure all stakeholders keep up to their commitment to guarantee the targeted points achieved.

Result

WPP Jakarta Campus awarded LEED v4 ID+C: CI Gold Rating by the U.S. Green Building Council in December 2021.
