Colliers and Wing have jointly won the Office Transaction of the Year Award

RTL Hungary is moving to the soon to be renovated Liget Center and Liget Auditorium office building in 2024 on nearly 8,000 square meters. This transation has won Office Transaction of the Year Award at the portfolio.hu Property Awards 2021, which award was jointly received by Wing and Colliers.

Wing is the owner and developer of Liget Center and Liget Auditorium, and we are proud to have represented the tenant during the negotiation process. As a result, RTL Hungary’s head office and news studios will relocate to this complex in a historic environment opposite City Park in 2024, after the renovation of the heritage buildings in a development fully tailored to the tenant’s needs.
The new, modern, downtown office building will be the main base for all employees of the country’s leading media corporation. The company is making arrangements for hybrid working in the long term, with the staff working from home on certain days and coming to the office on others. This means that the office building development will not only follow the latest trends, but will meet post-pandemic requirements. To adapt to changing needs and new work processes, a fully modern work environment will be created here, with open plan office spaces, a shared desk system, and dedicated separated areas for the various departments.
"While providing our tenant representation and workspace consultancy services, it was a priority to create a new workspace concept that encourages collaboration and creative working for RTL Hungary’s employees and that builds on the remote working experience gained during the pandemic. The complex of the Liget Center and the Auditorium was ideal for the implementation of this concept. WING was a great partner from the very start of the negotiations in incorporating the tenant’s considerations, and we are sure that RTL Hungary’s employees will be happy to move to the new office in mid-2024," said Miklós Ecsődi, Head of Occupier Services at Colliers International.
