Hong Kong, 29 April, 2022 – Leading diversified professional services and investment management company Colliers (NASDAQ and TSX: CIGI) is proud to be the Supporting Ally of the Unspeakable Series – Conversations about Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I), hosted by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. This important partnership has been developed to create awareness, encourage conversation and elevate inclusiveness around this topic to enable positive change in our communities and workplace.
The Unspeakable Series thought leadership initiative has three episodes, and our involvement reflects our commitment to DE&I as an integral part of our Elevate the Built Environment initiative.
As a Supporting Ally, Colliers was delighted to invite Shaman Chellaram, Senior Director of Valuation & Advisory Services | Asia as one of the panellists in the first episode, Communities Seen As ‘The Other’, to share his experiences from a corporate and personal perspective, and as a co-founder of the YAMA Foundation. He is joined by other representatives from 3 Hani Enterprises Limited and Hong Kong Unison.
“It was my honour to be invited as one of the panellists for the Unspeakable Series. The panel discussion was particularly insightful in bringing awareness to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in the community and the workplace. I hope this will encourage continued change around us personally and as a corporate institute,” said Chellaram.
In the next episodes of the Unspeakable Series which will be held in June and September respectively, the discussion will be featured around LGBTQ & Intersectionality and Allyship, both of which draw our attention to more equitable and inclusive experiences and workplaces.
