What matters now with TEDxTinHauWomen

Hong Kong SAR, 6 December 2021 – Leading diversified professional services and investment management company Colliers (NASDAQ and TSX: CIGI) is pleased to announce it is a silver sponsor of this year’s TEDxTinHauWomen.

This strategic sponsorship positions our people at the heart of important, topical conversations in Hong Kong. Aligning with this year’s title of ‘What Matters Now’, we are taking this theme internal with our people as part of a wider exercise to ensure we are providing the best possible platform.

The theme takes inspiration from the idea that it is okay to feel the way you do and still find it in you to focus on what really counts – health, kindness, patience, empathy, enthusiasm, love and optimism. Articulating this further, we asked this direct question to our people in the workplace and they identified the importance of flexibility, work life balance, sustainability and productivity.

Nigel Smith, Managing Director | Hong Kong, commented: ‘Over the last 24-months, even the most resilient have been impacted. Many people, especially in the workplace, have experienced major change and it’s important that as a leader, I am able to listen to the business and our people to make ensure I know What Matters Now.”

“Using TEDxTinHauWomen as a vehicle to bring this question to life internally and with our community is a great opportunity for me, the business and our people,” added Smith.

Our continued support of TEDxTinHauWomen is especially important this year and resonates highly with our experts. There is also synergy with Elevate the Built Environment, our strategic response to Environment, Social, Governance (ESG) factors, which is the blueprint to doing what’s right – one of our core values.

Jo Ledarney, Head of People & Performance | Hong Kong, explained: “We recently completed a workplace survey to garner a better understanding of what our colleagues need to make working for Colliers even better. Aligning that survey with TEDxTinHauWomen’s theme provides a real tangible note to what we’re working towards in optimisng workplace best practice.”
