The Colliers International Research and Forecasting department provides expert advice and a wide range of specialist services, including a property market forecasting capability, to internal and external clients.
With its origin dating back to the 1980s, the department has developed a leading position in the market. Fundamental to its success has been its focus on providing bespoke, research-based solutions to clients across a range of property sectors. Our value is in our own ability to analyse, interpret and advise, bringing together a broad combination of skills.
We run an in-house (MSCI/IPD based) model that generates five-year forecasts for the key commercial property sectors and sub-sectors, covering indicators such as rental growth, capital growth and total return.
The department has an enviable track record of providing value-add advice to a wide range of clients, including local authorities, developers, care home operators, banks, investment institutions and retail and leisure operators. We advise clients across a broad range of property sectors, subjects and geographies. Recent output includes economic reports and commentary, strategic plans, heat map analysis, location studies, residential analysis, performance benchmarking and research to support new fund vehicles.
We produce regular published research across sectors and geographies (c.70 per annum) to demonstrate departmental expertise and to promote the Colliers brand through mainstream and social media.
GIS and Mapping
We run an Experian GIS system to create mapping, demographic and geographic products and analyses to help both internal and external clients visualise data and identify spatial relationships.
Members of the team are available for radio/TV interviews, conference / seminar engagements and expert user groups and will contribute specialist articles for the media.
