Acting on behalf of private clients, the Manchester office of global real estate advisor, Colliers International, has sold the Sunnyside Guest House on Southey Street, Keswick, off an asking price of £625,000.
The three-storey guest house has seven individually-styled en suite bedrooms, a self-contained two bedroom owners’ apartment and parking. The property is located just outside of the historic town of Keswick, which is often referred to as ‘The Queen of the Lakes’. Situated between the picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake and Derwentwater, Keswick is a popular destination for tourists and walkers alike.
Haydn Spedding, an associate director at Colliers International, commented: “Sunnyside occupies an enviable trading position only a short walk from the centre of Keswick. It is one of ten hotels and guest houses currently in solicitors’ hands inside the Lake District National Park in what is proving to be a very busy and productive spring season for the sale of hospitality businesses throughout the county.”

Colliers acted on behalf of Sean & Anne O’Farrell, who have retired. Sunnyside has been acquired by Paul & Nicola Roper who moved to Keswick from Belper.
The purchase was financed by Cumberland Building Society.
