Colliers International is a proud sponsor of Phil Sharp, one of Britain’s most successful sailors of recent years. He has achieved top results in some of the most physically and mentally challenging sporting events on earth including single-handed races: The Transat, Route du Rhum and Mini Transat.
In 2018, Phil Sharp finished 3rd in the Route du Rhum race, after sailing over 4,487 miles. An incredible achievement over a difficult route between Brittany, France, and Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe.
Phil’s self-management, resilience, adaptability, leadership, and success, fit perfectly with Colliers values.
Racing is not Phil’s only mission. He continues to innovate and demonstrate clean energy technologies such as a hydrogen-electric energy system – a scalable solution that can be used to accelerate the decarbonisation of the marine sector.
Speaking on his passion for the ocean, Phil believes, “Ocean racing is about pushing human and technological boundaries in a race to win, but there is a much more important race at stake: a race to save the oceans. We have technologies that can make significant contributions to reducing emissions, but early demonstration and adoption is vital to meet climate change targets and address the health of our oceans before it is too late.”
Colliers are a proud partner and supporter of Phil, his racing ambitions, and his ongoing sustainable initiatives.
