Leadership
John co leads the Project and Building consultancy business, being responsible for its strategic growth and direction. John provides hands on service to his contacts with the full range of Building Surveying and Project Management services for a wide variety of commercial clients including pension funds, banks, property companies and developers.
He manages portfolio surveys and individual surveys for numerous clients throughout Europe.
He provides strategic oversight of Project Management of various large mixed use developments throughout the UK incorporating office developments, retail and leisure.
John was part of the team that negotiated and integrated the successful joining together of Paragon and Bond Davidson, and then more recently, the negotiation of the strategic partnership between Paragon and Colliers, to form one of the largest building consultancy teams in the UK.
Rob is Co-head of the Project & Building Consultancy team with over 25 years industry experience in providing leading commercial Building Surveying and Project Management advice.
He has a proven track record in delivering exceptional results for clients having led high performing businesses throughout his career due to his strong leadership and management skills.
Rob is a Director an experienced surveyor and project manager, providing strategic advice to a wide variety of commercial clients including Banks, Developers, Funds, Property Companies and Occupiers on schemes ranging from £1m to £350m.
With over 25yrs experience, Rob understands what the key objectives are for clients and is 100% committed to delivery, whilst maintaining a global overview. He can quickly establish the core issues on a project and therefore work towards an efficient resolution.
Rob is a key client manager and strives to establish wider opportunities, often bringing together a variety of people for mutual benefit. He is passionate about ensuring the team provides first-class service excellence.
Gavin is a Director with over 20 years’ experience in the Building and Project Consultancy sector. He is known for his commercial thinking and problem-solving ability, often unlocking development potential on difficult sites.
Gavin has overall responsibility for the Environmental, Energy and Sustainability Services within the Project and Building Consultancy team.
Simon is a Director and Chartered Building Surveyor with over 20 years industry experience in the Building and Project Consultancy sector.
He has had overall responsibility for the building surveying team across the UK, focusing on generating new business, nurturing client relationships and closely managing the quality of departmental output.
Simon has extensive experience in complex building surveying due diligence work. Aligned to this, his knowledge of large and difficult project management schemes allows him to ensure the client is getting the best possible commercial advice on all instructions.
Jeff is a Director with over 25 years’ experience in the Building and Project Consultancy sector. He works across a wide variety of service lines with a key focus on generating new business.
He is a trusted and valued advisor with meticulous attention to detail which has led to many long-standing client relationships and repeat instructions.
Marcus is a Director and Chartered Building Surveyor with over 25 years industry experience within the Building and Project Consultancy sector.

Richard is a Director and Chartered Surveyor with over 20 years industry experience within the Building and Project Consultancy sector. He has a diverse range of technical knowledge and expertise across numerous fields, which allows him to offer a broad range of clear commercial advice with personality.
He is well respected in the industry for delivering on complex, technical pre-acquisition issues, portfolios or large value multifaceted projects with strong communication skills and an eye for detail.
Matthew is a Director, Chartered Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager with over 30 years industry experience within the Building and Project Consultancy sector.
He has extensive experience of collaborating with Developers, Funds and Private Clients, understands the commercial aspects of property development as well as the importance of programme and quality control throughout the duration of all projects.
His focus is to ensure the success of all projects through strong leadership, collaboration, and teamwork.
Rob is a Director and Chartered Building Surveyor with over 20 years industry experience in commercial Building Surveying and Project Management.
Specialising in Project Management and the Monitoring of retail, leisure and office developments or refurbishments, Rob is a trusted and valued advisor with many long-standing client relationships.
His collaborative approach results in a clear understanding of client’s objectives whilst his personal care and ownership of projects ensures consistent delivery. He is passionate about anticipating his client’s needs and exceeding expectations through exemplary service.

James is a Director and Chartered Building Surveyor with over 25 years industry experience in commercial Building Surveying and Project Management.

Building Surveyors Experts
Jerome joined Colliers' Birmingham Project and Building Consultancy team in September 2017 as a Graduate Building Surveyor. Since joining he has subsequently qualified as a Chartered Building Surveyor gaining professional membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Jerome previously worked in residential property and now primarily works on contract administration instructions, dilapidations matters and technical due diligence building surveys.
Chris is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers. He has over 30 years professional experience working in both private and public sectors and has worked both consultancy and clientside.
Dan is a Director and Chartered Building Surveyor with over 15 years experience in the commercial property market.
Dan is responsible for leading the Building Surveying team in Bristol and is joint head of the wider Project & Building Consultancy team in our Bristol office.
He has a wealth of experience across the full spectrum of Building Surveying disciplines across all aspects of the property life cycle including acquisition, occupation and disposal.

David is a Director and Chartered Building Surveyor with over 25 years industry experience in commercial Building Surveying and project management. David provides providing clear, commercial advice. With a proven track record in delivering exceptional results for clients, David aims to be a trusted and valued advisor.
Dermot is a chartered surveyor in the Building Consultancy division having completed an honours degree in Building Surveying. Dermot has over 30 years of commercial and residential experience within Colliers.
Jack is a Director within the Project & Building Consultancy team offering specialist dilapidations advice (counselling, negotiating, and settling claims up to £24m) to both landlords and tenants.
Jack is the dilapidations service line lead and has developed valued relationships across a wide variety of commercial clients. Jack’s focus is to help organisations understand the dilapidations process from start to completion.
Jack has extensive experience advising across all sectors of commercial property including office, industrial, logistics, retail and leisure. Jack services his clients by developing bespoke dilapidations strategies tailored to his clients, engaging early in order to ensure key deliverables are met. Jonny is a Director within the Project & Building Consultancy team with over 10 years industry experience within the sector.
Jonny leads team of five qualified surveyors within the London team, who deliver a wide variety of building surveying and project management instructions.
Keith is a Director and Chartered Building Surveyor with over 20 years commercial property and building consultancy experience.
Keith is proficient in delivering professional project monitoring, building surveying and project management advice to a range of clients and constantly seeks to exceed expectations.
He sees complex client objectives as a challenge and an opportunity to explore, identify and implement dynamic solutions appropriate to the commercial requirements.
Keith is responsible for leading and developing the Project Monitoring service line in the north with instructions allocated across the regional offices as appropriate.
Leigh is a director within the Project and Building Consultancy team, with 12 years’ experience of varying building surveying disciplines and project management schemes.
Leigh currently leads a team of 4 chartered surveyors and directly reports into the building surveying shareholder. Leigh currently undertakes all types of professional work including pre-acquisition / vendors surveys, Contract Administration and Dilapidations instructions.
Mark joined Colliers in December 2015 and is a Director within the Leeds Project and Building Consultancy department. He has over 17 years commercial experience having started his career at Atisreal/BNP Paribas Real Estate.
Mark is responsible for providing a wide range of commercial Building Surveying advice in respect of both professional and project-based instructions.
He has vast experience in acting in the role as Development Monitor for a variety of commercial and residential developments. He has also undertaken numerous Contract Administration roles in respect of both new build and refurbishment schemes, including detailed design, specification, and project monitoring.
Other skills include advice and negotiation of dilapidations liabilities for both investor and occupiers.
Mark is one of the Directors within Project & Building Consultancy with over 17 years experience in commercial building surveying, primarily focusing on Acquisitions/Disposals & Project Management.
He has coordinated survey teams on multiple acquisitions and has a good understanding of commercial drivers, having delivered surveys for a large range of UK and European assets across retail, office and industrial portfolios.
Mark is based out of the London office but primarily focuses on instructions within the East Midlands and East of England.
Mark is a Director and Chartered Building Surveyor with over 33 years’ industry experience in commercial Building Surveying and Project Monitoring.
He is a good communicator and team leader and focuses on specific client requirements for each and every project, shying away from a ‘one size fits all’ approach.
He started his career at DTZ and was later employed by Watts and Partners between 1998 and 2017 and has been responsible for the technical due diligence surrounding transactional work across most of Europe since 2002.
Mark joined Paragon Building Consultancy in 2017 and has continued in his role as head one of the Building Surveying teams, predominantly undertaking pre-acquisition and vendor’s surveys and monitoring duties.
Paul is a Director in Building Surveying who is responsible for leading the London Building Surveying team.
With experience of providing leading commercial building surveying and project management services, Paul has a proven track record in producing positive results for his clients. Paul has a full range of large-scale commercial building surveying experience for industrial, residential (BTR, student accommodation and later living), retail and offices on a European scale.

Richard is a Chartered Building Surveyor with over 25 years’ experience in commercial property and heads up the Birmingham Project & Building Consultancy team. He is primarily involved in the design and contract administration of construction projects, fund and project monitoring, building/acquisition surveys, the preparation and negotiation of schedules of dilapidations and condition, feasibility studies and building reinstatement cost assessments.
Richard has a broad range of experience in preparing and negotiating schedules of dilapidations, mainly for industrial and office premises, including the preparation of schedules to approximately £3 million. Successful settlement of damages claims on behalf of both landlords and tenants and experience with breaks and surrender negotiations as well as providing strategic advice to clients approaching dilapidations situations
Richard has extensive experience in contract administration and employers agent roles on construction/refurbishment projects ranging in value from £50k to £26 million.
Rob is a Director in the London City Office, leading the City Office Building Surveying team.
Rob joined Colliers' Project & Building Consultancy team in December 2017, and primarily works on contract administration instructions, dilapidations matters for both landlord and tenant clients and technical due diligence building surveys. Previously, Rob worked for Malcolm Hollis and DTZ (now Cushman & Wakefield) in their London offices.
Simon is a Director and Chartered Building Surveyor with 18 years of industry experience in all aspects of commercial Building Surveying.
Simon has a passion for client care and development of client relationships. He takes interest in the client’s wider objectives when working with them and looks to tailor advise to suit those needs. He looks to add value and offers pragmatic solutions to often complex scenarios. Simon recognises that delivery of quality advice is important to repeat business and has built his professional success on this mantra.
Simon heads-up Building Surveying Services within the Manchester Team. He has developed excellent skills in team management ensuring quality of client delivery within his team is best in class.
Since joining the firm in 1999, Stuart provides key specialist advice as a Chartered Building Surveyor in the UK and Europe.
Tom is a Director of Building Surveying within the Project & Building Consultancy team, with over 10 years of industry experience within the sector.
He has extensive experience in managing complex projects and providing technical advice throughout the UK on a wide range of properties, including leading on large scale portfolio work.
Tom is a Director and Chartered Building Surveyor at Colliers. Having finished his first degree he went into recruitment before returning to University to complete his RICS accredited Building Surveying conversion course.
Tom has a wide experience of traditional building surveying and project management experience across all sectors but mainly industrial and offices.
He is personable and commercial minded when it comes to advice to clients.
Edward is an Associate Director within the Building Surveying team at Colliers. He has over 8 years’ industry experience working within the construction industry across London and the UK specialising in Building Surveying and Project Management.
Edward’s career started at Paragon Building Consultancy in 2015 as a graduate on their Building Surveying RICS training programme. He became a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 2018 and has since quickly progressed to his current position as an Associate Director at Colliers.
George is an Associate Director within the Building Surveying team at Colliers. He started his career at JLL focusing predominately within the Residential and Living sectors before joining Paragon Building Consultancy in 2021.
He has experience across a wide variety of sectors and is well-versed and knowledgeable in a range of Building Surveying and Project Management roles.
George is an accredited APC assessor with the RICS and currently oversees the APC process within Project & Building Consultancy.
Graeme is a highly experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Associate Director and Chartered Building Surveyor, with over twenty-five years experience, managing projects and teams in the construction sector.
With a strong track record in delivering client-focused projects to time and budget, often alongside challenging business objectives, Graeme has demonstrated an ability to work flexibly and to balance conflicting priorities alongside technical due diligence and survey works.
Jamie is an Associate Director and Chartered Building Surveyor with over 10 years of experience in commercial Building Surveying and Project Management.
Jamie has excellent communication skills, and strives to exceed client expectations through good working relationships by providing good commercial advice.

Kalpesh is an Associate Director within over 10 years experience in Building Surveying and Project / Programme Management.

With over 29 years experience in providing commercial building surveying and project management services, Neil has developed an excellent commercial understanding, allowing him to align with his clients’ key objectives. Neil has a positive attitude and enthusiasm which allows him to motivate and inspire the team around him to achieve a common goal.
Paul’s career started at Paragon Building Consultancy in 2017 as a year out placement student. He returned as a graduate in 2018 and became a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 2019. He has since progressed to his current position as an Associate Director at Colliers.
Richard obtained a degree from Reading University and qualified as a Chartered Building Surveyor whilst working with Jones Lang Wootton in London. Since then, Richard has circa 25 years of experience having worked with CBRE and King Sturge specialising in dilpaidations, due diligence survey work, refurbishment contract work and building consultancy work.
Tom is an Associate Director and Building Surveyor at Colliers. Tom has demonstrable experience working within the construction industry across London and the UK specialising in Building Surveying and Project Management.
With over 8 years industry experience, Tom focuses on commercial property providing strategic advice for owners and occupiers on acquisitions, dilapidations, project management and property development.
Tom concentrates on developing his relationships with commercial clients, engaging early in order to ensure key deliverables are met and expectations exceeded. He started his career with Paragon on a work placement year between 2013 and 2014. Following graduation, he returned to Paragon and remained part of the company until 2022 when the strategic partnership with Colliers was formed.

Ashley is a Senior Building Surveyor with over 6 years industry experience within commercial Building Surveying.

Chris is a Building Surveyor working within our London Southwark office. Chris started his career with Paragon in 2021 as a graduate surveyor in our Manchester office.
Prior to Chris completing his building survey degree, he has gained 9 years of work experience within the residential property and student accommodation sectors. This has developed a broad array of transferable professional knowledge, and skills as a building surveyor.
James is a Building Surveyor based in Manchester who has been in the industry for 2 years working in Commercial Building Surveying and Project Management and is currently training to become a chartered surveyor.
James thrives on being a helpful contact for clients and working closely with them to provide the best possible service by being a clear communicator and being enthusiastic and positive.
He is also active with contractors, ensuring that everything on a project is completed to the best of everyone’s ability.
Niall is a graduate building surveyor having joined Paragon before the strategic partnership in March 2022. Niall has a civil engineering background with over 30 months of on-site experience having worked on highways and environmental projects before studying a Building Surveying masters at Nottingham Trent University 2020-21.
Niall has successfully caried out a variety of works for a number of clients, including schedules of dilapidations, schedule of conditions, reinstatement cost assessments and contract administration role.
Charlie has recently begun his career in building surveying and is currently studying a part-time masters in the subject.
Before embarking on this career path, he spent six years working at sea as a bosun on superyachts.
Patricia has over 24 years of industry experience and over 20 years as a Chartered Building Surveyor with extensive experience in a wide range of property sectors including, Government, Industrial, Retail, Office, Hotel and Healthcare in the UK and across Europe. Provides a full range of professional property services including, Freehold/Leasehold Acquistitions, Landlord & Tenant dilapidation matters, Project Management, Employer's Agent, Contract Administration, for all types of building alterations, refurbishment, CAT A & B fit-outs and new build construction.
John started working for Colliers as a Graduate Building Surveyor in September 2018 and passed his APC in June 2022 to become a Chartered Building Surveyor.
John has successfully carried out a variety of works for a number of clients, most notably, acting as the Contract Administrator for structural remedial works at Audi West London.
Neil is a building surveyor, having previously worked at a small consultancy firm based in the northern home counties.
Neil has successfully carried out a variety of works for a number of clients, including schedules of dilapidations, schedules of conditions, reinstatement cost assessments, contract administration duties and building surveys.
I joined Colliers in 2017 as a Team Adminitrator for the London West End Project and Building Consultancy Department.
I am currently supporting the Co-Head of Project Management, Directors and Senior Surveyors.
Eleanor joined the Bristol Building Surveying team in September 2019 as an Apprentice and is currently working towards completing her BSc (Honors) degree in Building Surveying at the University College of Estate Management, due to site her APC in Spring 2024.
Eleanor's role involves working independently and alongside colleagues to undertake and complete commercial surveys including Schedules of Condition, Schedules of Dilapidations, Dilapidations Assessments, RCAs, Pre-Acquisitions, Full and Executive Building Surveys and PPMs. Her work involves a variety of buildings including retail units, offices, warehouses and private healthcare properties. Eleanor also has experience in Contract Administration, managing and over-seeing repair works and refurbishment and strip-out projects.
A Trainee Building Surveyor within the Project & Building Consultancy Department at Colliers. I was awarded Upper Second-Class Honours in BSc (Hons) Building Surveying from the University College of Estate Management. Currently, I am working towards my RICS Chartership.

Cam is a Trainee Building Surveyor having started with Colliers in September 2022.
Cam is enrolled on a degree apprenticeship at UWE Bristol and is due to graduate in 2025 and sit his APC thereafter. Cam is learning and gaining experience every day in a variety of disciplines including dilapidations, contract administration, project management and technical due diligence.
Dino is a Director and Building Services Consultant with over 25 years industry experience in all disciplines of commercial Building Services Consultancy.
Dino has a proven track record in delivering commercially focused advice and exceptional results for his client’s. He brings a proactive attitude that understands the sometimes complex objectives of his clients. He is the Director of Project and Building Consultancy in the Glasgow office with responsibility for the whole of Scotland.
Rhodri is a Senior Surveyor with over 5 years industry experience specialising in Neighbourly Matters whilst also working within the wider Building Surveying team.
Rhodri is a people person with a growing network in the Neighbourly Matters industry. His approach focuses on advising clients of major risks to projects and how best to navigate these whilst also understanding the client’s needs.
Rhodri has vast experience dealing with large jobs across residential, commercial and retail sectors across the country.
Ross is responsible for providing a wide range of commercial Building Surveying advice in respect of both professional and project-based instructions.
He has also undertaken numerous Contract Administration roles focusing mainly on refurbishment schemes, including detailed design, specification and project monitoring.
Other skills include advice and negotiation of dilapidations liabilities for both landlords and tenants, acquisition surveys, planned maintenance and condition surveys.
Tony is a director in the building services consultancy team. Tony has extensive experience of undertaking the design and carrying out technical due diligence surveys of mechanical and electrical engineering services in buildings throughout the UK and Europe. His experience includes large landmark office developments and industrial, logistics, retail and leisure buildings.

Paul joined Colliers in October 2013 and is a chartered Building Surveyor with over 17 years professional experience with King Sturge and Jones Lang LaSalle. Between 2003 and 2009 Paul was based in King Sturge’s Prague office where he established the Project Management & Building Consultancy department to extend the range of services offered by King Sturge throughout the Central European market.
In 2009 Paul transferred back to London and continued to coordinate King Sturge’s project management & building consultancy activities across Mainland Europe through teams based in Frankfurt, Prague, Warsaw and Bucharest. Since 2011, Paul has focused on developing more specialist expertise in project monitoring services including providing advice to banks and investors across a range of projects throughout the UK and Europe.
Paul is the main client contact and technical advisor to a number of key clients with property portfolios under management in Europe. He has a wide range of experience in core building surveying activities including pre purchase technical due diligence on portfolio acquistions in Spain, France, Germany and the Netherlands.
Abigail is a Senior Project Monitor and a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 30 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying and the Building Industry, this includes a 12-year period lecturing at university level in Cape Town, South Africa.
Abigail believes that expert client service is paramount and strives to ensure that the service given is both professional and appropriate.
Abigail is responsible for providing skilled commercial advice on projects, including evaluating the risks associated with the project to assist project funders in making informed decisions with regard to managing their risk exposure and enabling them to protect their financial interests.
Charlie joined the Paragon team shortly before the Colliers merger as a Project Monitoring surveyor, following 5 years of industry experience as a Quantity Surveyor for Main Contractor’s and a PQS.
He has worked on a number of different projects as a Quantity Surveyor and getting vital on-site experience during his 4 years working with Sisk. He was able to work on projects of various natures in sectors such as civil infrastructure, datacentre, residential and pharmaceutical.
Building on the experience gained spending time on site and using it to move to the consultancy side and continuing to grow by challenging myself to a Project Monitoring role where I currently find myself.
Gareth is a Director and Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 30 years industry experience in Quantity Surveying and Project Monitoring.
He has strong intuition and ability to foresee and assess development risks; utilising strong commercial acumen, whilst leveraging diverse experience, to provide robust business advice.
Gareth uses his specialist knowledge and experience to allow him to identify key issues at an early stage and provide clear advice, so that informed decisions can be made quickly based on accurate information.
Since specialising in Project Monitoring in 2003 he has developed lasting relationships with valued clients throughout the development funding sector.
Neil is a Project Monitor with over 8 years industry experience in Quantity Surveying having had experience working in 3 different continents with experience working on a large variety of projects within various sectors of the construction industry.
Neil is an excellent communicator and is passionate about exceeding client expectations. He has a fantastic understanding of his client’s business objectives and is always keen to add value. He takes great pride in exceeding expectations and meeting tight deadlines.
Norman is a Director in the Project Monitoring Team with over 30 years Commercial and Project Management industry experience within varied organisations including Contractors, Surveying Practices, Local Authority, Developers both listed and private non-listed.
He has developed extensive experience in the practical/commercial management, delivery and monitoring of challenging, complex and distressed projects along with working in both Client and senior delivery roles. He is an excellent communicator, supportive with a practical solutions based can do approach.
Norman has extensive experience of various development projects nationally and internationally incorporating residential, office, retail, leisure, hotel, schools and other public buildings/facilities.
Philip trained as a Quantity Surveyor with G. D. Walfords & Partners and currently has over 45 years of experience in the industry.
In addition to traditional Quantity Surveying duties across the private and public sector, Philip was involved for over ten years in managing a team of term maintenance surveyors working with Clients as diverse as the National Museum of Science and Industry and Seven Trent Water.
He also acted as a Project Manager supporting the Justice Department in their refurbishment and renewal of prisons, healthcare and video conferencing room facilities.
Philip worked in Amsterdam for over 18 months with a Dutch associate company and in addition to being exposed to the contract tender procedure was also involved in Fund Monitoring.
Since joining Bond Davidson Ltd and subsequent take overs, he is now predominantly working as a Fund Monitor.
Andy is a Director and chartered construction manager, working in the Project Monitoring team and has over 15 years experience in the construction industry.
Since working in monitoring, he has built relationships with new clients while also building on those with the existing client base.
Andy had previously worked exclusively in the education sector as a client project manager, but has since gained experience across several other sectors including residential, mixed-use, commercial and care, working across the UK.
Ian is a Senior Project Monitor and Chartered Building Surveyor with over 10 years industry experience in Project Monitoring, Building Surveyor and Project Management. He has solely focused on Project Monitoring for the last two years and has developed valued client relationships within that time.
Ian has extensive experience of developments across private and build to rent residential, office, and industrial sectors throughout the Channel Islands, Wales and the South West.
Kirsty Kimber is an Associate Director on the Monitoring Team and a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 9 years industry experience.
She has helped develop relationships with a wide variety of funds, Banks and developers.
British and Romanian dual national, Radu is a Chartered Building Surveyor with over 14 years experience in the fields of Project Management and Monitoring as well as Building Surveying, having assisted institutional clients, financing banks, private investment funds and real estate developers.
He has completed instructions in the UK, Hungary, Romania.
Assignments completed include project management of residential developments and logistic facilities, technical due diligence for acquisition, occupancy and vending purposes, bank monitoring of class A office developments and tenant fit-out coordination, lender’s supervision of large retail developments and bio-gas power plants.
Expertise extended at CEE regional level, with technical due-diligence for re-financing purposes including capex schedules, reinstatement cost assessments and dilapidation surveys for institutional clients and financing banks, on portfolios of commercial and logistic assets located in Hungary and Romania.
Qualified LEED Green Associate, to date Radu has coordinated one LEED Gold certification on a Class A office development in Bucharest, Romania.
