I originally trained with a long established firm of Chartered Surveyors based in Manchester and have been working in the licensed, leisure and hotel property market since 1987. I joined Colliers in 2007 to head up our UK Corporate hotel operation. I was appointed Head of UK Hotel Agency during 2011. Since the beginning of 2003 I have sold or acquired over 100 provincial hotels on behalf of clients of asking prices ranging from £1.2m to in excess of £20m. In addition to the managerial responsibilities, I remain focused on handling larger private and corporate hotel transactions throughout the UK.

Work involves both sales and acquisitions in London. Current and recent clients include London Hotel Group, Grant Thornton, KLP, Harcourt Developments, MARA, FELDA, Shaftesbury Hotels, Leeu Collection and Imperial London Hotels. Transactions over recent years have included the Intercontinental Westminster (now Conrad St James), Wyndham Grand Chelsea Harbour, 55 Newman Street W1, London Premier Kensington, Atelier EC1, Ashley Hotel Paddington and Berkeley Park Apartments Heathrow.
Peter is a chartered surveyor who first started dealing with the hotel and pub market in 1988. He joined Robert Barry & Co in 1995 and after many years as a valuation professional has now been selling hotels and pubs for over 20 years. He is the director in charge of our operations in the west midlands and south west. This covers the south and south west of England including the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire, Hereford, Worcestershire, Shropshire, as well as the West Midlands, Staffordshire, south and mid Wales as well as more major instructions in the south west region generally.

Neil is a part our Hotels team in Manchester, and joined Colliers International in 2010 bringing with him 25 years of experience in the property industry in both residential and commercial property sales. Neil specialises in the disposal of privately owned hotels, licensed and hospitality businesses, throughout the North West and North Wales regions, and has played a vital role in ensuring completion on a multitude of different types of hotels during his involvement in the hotel industry.
Haydn qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1972 and has been selling hotels, guest houses and self-catering businesses since 1988. He joined Colliers Robert Barry following the takeover of Staintons Hospitality Surveyors in 2001 and is now an Associate Director. He is an active participant on the Commercial Members Committee of Cumbria Tourist Board.
Robert works to provide expert brokerage and professional services to the Hotels Agency and Parks, Sports and Marinas departments across England Scotland and Wales, moving between our Manchester, Leeds and Edinburgh offices.
Covering a wide range of matters, Robert has been involved in some of the largest and most significant parks and hotel deals over the last 10 years in the UK; allowing him to build up a great deal of industry contacts.
On behalf of both private and corporate clients Robert continues to strive to ensure that Colliers' reputation for service excellence and professionalism is upheld.
I trained with a long established firm of specialist chartered surveyors and have been working in the leisure sector since 2010. I joined Colliers Hotels Agency team in 2017 to cover the South West region and am based in Bristol.
I have a strong agency based background and have specialised in the hotel sector for some time. My core focus is handling top quality privately owned hotels & Inns throughout the South West region.
I joined Colliers in 2006. With over 30 years of experience, my role at Colliers International is to provide support and administrative assistance to the Hotels Agency Team. I also personally assist the Head of Hotels Agency UK, Julian Troup.
I am based in the Manchester office and my role at Colliers is to provide support and administrative assistance to the Hotels Agency and National Offices Teams.
In 2002, I joined Colliers Robert Barry, which later became the Hotels Team at Colliers.

Hotels Asset Management
Over a career that spans more than 28 years Ben has developed his expertise within the sector working in a variety of management roles in a diverse range of hotel properties and brands both in the UK and overseas.
At the start of his career, post-graduation and after a number of years as a Graduate Trainee for Commonwealth Hotels of Canada, Ben quickly advanced into General Manager roles and subsequently became Regional Director.
Over a career that spans 30 years Richard has 25 years of hotel real estate expertise working for both consultancies (Savills and JLL) and hotel owner operators (Highgate). His roles have included valuations, lease advisory, operator selection, asset management as well as disposals and acquisition advice both in the UK and throughout Europe.
Joseph joins Colliers in 2017. During his time, Joseph has been involved in a variety of projects, ranging from hotel acquisitions, to the analysis of investment opportunities, funding appraisals, and helping with the asset management of Colliers’ portfolio.
Prior to this, Joseph has been mainly involved in property development, funding appraisals (bank finance, forward sale and forward funding) and financial modeling of various debt financing scenarios.
Experienced professional with a demonstrated history of working in the real estate industry. Skilled in financial modelling and property development, with an expertise in hotel projects.
As a Senior Asset Manger within the Hospitality Asset Management division, Sean directly Asset Manages a portfolio of hotels across the UK and into Eastern and Central Europe.
Over a career that spans more than 25 years Sean has developed his expertise and knowledge within the sector from the ground-up, working in a variety of management roles in a diverse range of hotel properties and brands, both privately and company owned. This has provided him with the experience and hands-on knowledge to provide Colliers clients with the insightful support and advice they require and to ensure the hotel operators are delivering and improving owner returns.
Prior to joining Colliers Sean was a Hotel General Manager for the past 20 years, managing a broad range of both independent and branded properties for brands such as Marriott, IHG and Hilton.
He has also instigated several major refurbishment projects and the new build of a unique Hotel, Golf & Country Club. This invaluable experience and expertise allows Sean to manage a range of Operators/Brands to ensure they deliver beyond owner expectations.
Sean also works on portfolio due diligence projects, Operator search and Selection and new hotel builds, managing the pre-opening budget phase and ensuring the Operator/Brand successfully launches the new business.
My career to date has provided me with a vast amount of experience in all areas of business management and at every stage of my fifteen year career has honed these skills to allow me to be successful in what I do. I love to strategise and my ability to effectively identify opportunities, to plan and execute actions utilising resources to the benefit of a company has delivered great results. I enjoy bringing people with me and instilling vision and passion I feel for projects and take great pleasure in imparting my knowledge and experience to rising stars so they too can grow and achieve great things.
The importance of team is vital and I have learned that my ability to listen and communicate with people at all levels is the key to driving loyalty and success. I have found the ever changing nature of business and the need to change and initiate action to stay ahead of the curve has been very rewarding to me and effective for the companies i have worked for. I have thirty years experience within the hotel and resorts sector.
This covers all areas from line management within operations, consulting advisory and corporate finance and property strategies.
I have even been an owner of my own hotel which I sold at the beginning of 2007.
I specialise in new hotel development and financing solutions within the hotel sector and in Management Agreements.
Resorts are a particular passion and I have a great deal of experience with these from inception to operations
Jessica is a Director who specialises in destination development for hospitality and mixed-use projects.
She is an experienced consultant and project manager who brings a holistic and strategic perspective to developing concepts and business plans for new sites. Her work involves identifying concept, positioning and destination strategy informed by market research; taking projects through financial feasibility appraisal; resolving strategic issues and working with master planners and wider development teams; to presenting projects to attract investment.
Jessica has a particular strength in understanding client and project requirements and in integrating the skills of Colliers specialist teams, local offices and external advisors and master planners to deliver to the needs of clients.
Her experience includes projects from 0.5 to over 800 hectares with elements including hotels, event venues, visitor attractions, residential, branded residences, office, retail, spa, wellness, golf, marina, leisure, entertainment and public realm. Projects stretch from resorts to urban brownfield sites.
Jessica has worked on projects throughout the UK and from the Caribbean, through Africa, the Western Mediterranean and Northern Europe to the Eastern Mediterranean and Eastern Europe.
Jessica has a degree from Cambridge University and a Masters in International Tourism Policy and is very widely travelled. She has been working in tourism, resort and mixed-use development for nearly 20 years. She works within the Destination Consulting and Hotels & Resorts Consulting teams in London.

Cherise has 14 years' experience in the hospitality, tourism and leisure industry, providing consultancy advice across a broad range of sectors from hotels, golf resorts and spas, to exclusive-use venues and mixed-use developments.
She specialises in the hotel and extended stay sector, focusing primarily on market and financial feasibility studies, development advice, site and location analysis, best-use and concept development, and operator search, selection and negotiation.
Cherise also has a keen interest and expertise in preparing hotel need assessments and non-viability appraisals in support of planning applications for change of use.
Siddhika works in the Hotels & Resorts Consulting team as an Associate Director.
I joined Colliers in June 2019 as a Team Administrator for both the Hotels & Resorts Consulting and the Hospitality Asset Management Teams. I support both Head's of Department plus the wider team on a day to day basis.
Hotels Valuation
I am a Director in the UK Hotels department based in London and Manchester. As Head of the Hotels Valuation team I regularly present to property professionals and operators on matters affecting the hotel industry and provide valuation and other advice for a variety of purposes.
I am a Director within the UK Hotels Valuation Team.
As a specialist Hotel Valuer, I undertake valuations of hotel assets and investments in the Midlands and throughout the UK and Europe for a wide range of clients, predominantly for loan security purposes.
I qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2007 whilst working for BNP Paribas Real Estate in London. I then worked in the Hotels & Leisure team at Avison Young, firstly in Manchester and then in Birmingham, before joining Colliers International in 2014.
Since qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor, I have specialised in the Hotels sector, working in both valuation and agency roles, and have an in depth knowledge of this specialist area.
Richard qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1994. Since joining the Colliers Group in 1993 he has specialised in the licensed, leisure and hotel markets. He transferred to Colliers Robert Barry in 2003 and is a director. In 2004 Richard opened and ran for four years our private agency office covering East Anglia. He now concentrates exclusively on hotel valuations covering London, the South East and East Anglia. .
Leigh joined Colliers International in Leeds in 2012 having previously held senior positions with two national specialist leisure and hotel property advisors. He has over 20 years’ experience in the valuation, sale and acquisition of hospitality and leisure property including a significant number of high-profile single asset deals representing both corporate and private clients. He also provides consultancy services and strategic advice to a number of multiple operator clients.
In addition to property asset transactions, Leigh has extensive experience in operational leases and management contracts. He has also handled a number development sites both on a site sale and turnkey delivery basis.
After attaining RICS Registered Valuer status in 2015 Leigh now specialises in the valuation of hotel property throughout the UK for a wide range or clients for lending, transactional and statutory purposes.
Andrew is an Director within the UK Hotels Valuation and Professional Services Team.
He undertakes valuations of hotel assets and investments in Scotland for a wide range of clients, predominantly for loan security purposes.
As a specialist Hotel Valuer, he values businesses ranging from owner operated hotels to hotel developments, corporate hotels and larger group portfolios.
I am an Associate Director in the Hotels Valuation department, principally covering Manchester and the North West region but also operating throughout the UK.
I qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in October 2008 specialising in the corporate recovery sector during the early part of my career, however since initially joining Colliers in 2015 I have exclusively focussed on the valuation of trading hotels, licensed and leisure assets predominantly for loan security, financial reporting and acquisiton/feasibility purposes. I value businesses ranging from owner operated hotels to hotel developments, corporate hotels and larger group portfolios.
Jennifer is an experienced Senior Administrator, having worked in government, public and private sectors. Entering the property industry in 2007, she has dealt with a wide variety of clients in markets ranging from Healthcare to Licensed Premises.
Jennifer joined Colliers in October 2017 as Team Administrator for Hotels Valuation and in 2021 was promoted to Senior Business Support.
