Commercial property investment activity reached a three-year high in 2021, with final figures likely to show volumes in excess of £60 billion.
It was a record year for industrial in many respects, but there was also welcome news in the office sector, with both occupier and investment activity picking up. The size of the UK economy has returned to its pre-COVID level, but Omicron has resulted in short-term disruption in activity. Inflation and gilts are rising, and the Bank of England is likely to act again in February.
