UK Property Snapshot Feb 23 Hero

Consistent with current economic sentiment, commercial real estate investment and leasing activity remained subdued in January.

Yields across all asset types rose significantly in H2 2022, and although they continue to do so in January, there are signs that some sectors are moving closer to stabilisation.

Highlights in the February Snapshot include:

  • Only £1.3bn transacted in January, marking the slowest start to a year since 2009
  • January’s rise in “All Property” yields was the most modest in five months
  • Strong rental growth maintained across the industrial sector, but slowdown inevitable
