Investment sales in Scotland reached £2.2bn in 2021, up 50% on 2020 levels with investor demand improving across all main sectors.


Following two years of pandemic-related disruption, Asia-Pac and Middle-Eastern capital is returning to the UK, which should also help the Scottish CRE market in 2022.

The February 2022 Scotland Property Snapshot is now available to read, with highlights including:

  • Quarterly investment volumes reached £760m in Q4 – this is strongest figure since Q1 2018

  • Retail investment volumes at three-year high of £530m in 2021, helped by strong demand for retail parks

  • Edinburgh and Glasgow office take-up improve on 2020 levels

  • Double digit house price growth across many Scottish regions
