In our newly released residential research, we highlight the supply, demand and household indicators that have affected the market in recent years.
This is a quick-read examination of the market trends, and showcases the impact of the first national lockdown on the market, and its subsequent recovery.
Despite a difficult year for commercial property, the UK residential market continued to perform well. In 2020 investment volumes matched 2018’s all-time high, reaching £6.1billion in 2020 – 12 per cent of all commercial real estate investment for the year.
Some £3.5bn of the investment was placed in the growing Build-to-Rent (BTR) sector and we were pleased to advise on a number of notable projects, including Muse, a 520-unit development in Manchester and Menta, a 338-unit development in Croydon.
