Recovery of the UK Hotel Market 2022 hero

The recovery of the overall UK hotel market took on a strong pace in the second half of 2021 with the removal of COVID-19 restrictions, but not all submarkets fared the same.

According to the newly published report by our Colliers UK Hotels team, a few key markets have recovered back to their 2019 performance levels, with some even surpassing 2019 performances. However, some markets are still lagging.

Our report uncovers key themes within the hospitality industry seen in 2021 as well as factors that have, and will continue to shape the recovery of the sector in the near future.

With the 2022 picture continuing to evolve, it highlights factors that will influence the coming months for both domestic leisure driven destinations as well as those markets more reliant on international visitation, MICE, and corporate related demand.
