In the year to date, investment volumes stand at £31.4 billion, up on both 2019 (£27.6 billion) and 2020 (£23.8 billion) levels and helped by very strong June and July figures.

Annual volumes could therefore reach £60 billion. The Bank of England has changed both its tone and guidance for monetary policy and a rate rise is now on the cards for H1 2022.

In this months’ Snapshot we highlight:

  • Yield compression evident across all main sectors, highlighting strong demand from investors

  • 2021 will be a record year for industrial investment

  • Occupier appetite for best-in-class offices is bolstering, and in some instances, elevating prime headline rents
