In the year to date, investment volumes stand at £31.4 billion, up on both 2019 (£27.6 billion) and 2020 (£23.8 billion) levels and helped by very strong June and July figures.
Annual volumes could therefore reach £60 billion. The Bank of England has changed both its tone and guidance for monetary policy and a rate rise is now on the cards for H1 2022.
