Out for Good is a regional CSR initiative wherein all Colliers offices in Asia close for a day to give back to their communities.  This year Colliers Manila office chose to spend the day at Matabungkay for a coastal clean-up with more than 90 employees participating. The Cebu office visited Hospicio de San Jose de Barili, a hospice for the elderly.

“Community is one of Colliers’ core values.  Our business in the Philippines has been expanding rapidly and we want to share our success with others in whatever way possible,” said David Young, Managing Director, Colliers International Philippines. “After the recent typhoon, we believe that the beach clean-up will have a positive economic impact on the coastal community of Matabungkay and that we have raised consciousness of environmental responsibility among our employees.”

The team gathered more than 100 bags equivalent to approximately 400 kilos of trash. Recyclables were donated to the community adjacent to the Matabungkay Beach Hotel for them to sell.

Out for Good in the Philippines augments Colliers local CSR program which includes the preventative maintenance and repair of various public schools in Mandaluyong and the Elementary School at Curva, Cebu.  The Curva school was re-built by Colliers in 2014 having been completely devastated by Typhoon Yolanda.
