Colliers International’s specialist Parks team handled the sale.
Colliers International’s Parks team, acting on behalf of Staxton Vale Lodges, has sold the park in Staxon, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, to a private buyer off a guide price of £795,000.
Staxton Vale Lodges, a 3.8 acre site, which is open all year round, has been permitted for the development of 29-serviced holiday lodge pitches, nine of which are currently occupied by private owners; 10 of which have concrete bases; one is a show home lodge and there are currently nine vacant pitches.
The surrounding area includes the renowned coastal towns of Whitby and Bridlington, with a plethora of pretty seaside villages and hamlets scattered along this picturesque coastline, including Filey just, six miles to the east. Inland, the North York Moors provides a plentiful supply of countryside and spectacular scenery.
The park can be accessed just off the A64 trunk road and main tourist route linking York to Scarborough and the spectacular North Yorkshire coast.
Richard Moss, Head of UK Parks Agency at Colliers International, commented: “We are thrilled to have completed a successful sale and I have no doubt the new owners will take this business from strength to strength.
“Clearly, we are in challenging times at present but this sale is particularly encouraging and demonstrates that transactions in the holiday market are continuing with buyers predominantly remaining focussed on the longer-term sector outlook.”
