Skydome Coventry, the city’s premier leisure and entertainment destination, has completed a solar panel installation of 1,040 solar modules which has already saved over 16,521kg of CO2 emissions. Colliers is managing agents at the property.

Skydome is home to brands including Planet Ice, Pure Gym and Odeon and is seven minutes from Coventry rail station. The new solar panels are south-south east facing and have a forecast output of 350,000Wh in the first year.

They will also create a 12 per cent reduction in energy drawn from the National Grid and improve the overall energy performance of the asset; decarbonising the energy supply to the common areas by circa 80 tonnes in year one and around 960 tonnes over 25 years. So far, the CO2 emission saving is the equivalent of planting 787 trees.
