Experienced hospitality operator Steve Novak is behind the creation of Betty
Colliers has advised Workspace Group PLC on the successful letting of the bar and restaurant space at Barley Mow Centre in Chiswick. The space has been leased to experienced hospitality operator Steve Novak, the founder of Cattlegrid steak houses and, more recently, a group of bars in south west London.
The 4,000 sq ft ground floor space is characterised by industrial features and high ceilings and is set back on the attractive Barley Mow Passage behind Chiswick High Road. The bar will be named Betty and will be a similar proposition to Hannah in Clapham Junction, with an all-day menu offer, 70 wines by the glass, alongside beer, sports and music.
Josh Leon of Colliers said: “We introduced the space to Steve in February this year. He’s an experienced operator and absolutely loves this building which is admittedly stunning. After a very challenging 2020, we’ve seen a massive uptick in demand for suburban neighbourhoods like Chiswick which comes as no surprise as people have been spending so much time locally and have come to demand more from what’s on their doorstep.”
Workspace is a flexible office provider and owns and manages some 4 million sq ft of business space across 58 inspiring buildings in dynamic London locations. It is home to the capital's brightest businesses, including fast growing and established brands across a wide range of sectors.
