New lead for Colliers’ Project & Building Consultancy team in Birmingham


Richard Nock joins Colliers from Cushman & Wakefield

Colliers has recruited a new director in its Project & Building Consultancy team based in Birmingham. 

Richard Nock joins from Cushman & Wakefield where he has specialised in the design and contract administration of construction projects, fund and project monitoring, building acquisition surveys, schedules of dilapidations and feasibility studies. He will lead the team in the Midlands to grow Colliers’ reputation for projects and building consultancy, bringing with him significant experience with blue-chip clients including FedEx, Eon, Royal Mail and Dassault Systemes. 

Nick Twigg, head of regions for Project & Building Consultancy said: “There’s a lot of pressure right now for those embarking on projects to meet strict budgets, which is why we’re expanding our expertise across the UK to provide support for our clients.”

Richard is a Chartered Building Surveyor with over 25 years’ experience in commercial property.  He is primarily involved in the design and contract administration of construction projects, fund and project monitoring, building/acquisition surveys, the preparation and negotiation of schedules of dilapidations and condition, feasibility studies and building reinstatement cost assessments.

Richard has a broad range of experience in preparing and negotiating schedules of dilapidations, mainly for industrial and office premises, including the preparation of schedules to approximately £3 million. Successful settlement of damages claims on behalf of both landlords and tenants and experience with breaks and surrender negotiations as well as providing strategic advice to clients approaching dilapidations situations

Richard has extensive experience in contract administration and employers agent roles on construction/refurbishment projects ranging in value from £50k to £26 million.
