eBikes and EVs – new Colliers’ sustainable travel solutions

19 11 20 eBikes and EVs new Colliers sustainable travel solutions hero

Colliers UK is improving its green credentials this week by offering London-based employees’ access to eBikes as an environmentally friendly travel alternative to get to meetings, viewings and site inspections; as well as offering its employees nationwide a salary sacrifice scheme for the purchase of electric vehicles.

"We try to innovate not just in real estate for clients but in the benefits that we give our employees. As well as making eBikes available, we also launched an electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme this week." Lydia Ings, Director of HR said. "We are one of the only property companies offering an EV salary sacrifice scheme and we think that these cool eBikes will help staff to travel around the city in style and reduce the environmental impact of their journeys to meetings and viewings. Right now, anything we can do to reduce time spent on public transport has got to be a good thing.”

The eBikes are branded with the Colliers name. Staff will be required to fill out an online booking form to reserve a bike and then simply check out the eBike, battery and lock from reception. eCyclists will be provided with safe eCycling guidelines and asked to sign a user agreement. For safety reasons, riders will be expected to supply their own helmets.

“Sustainability and being environmentally friendly aren’t just about doing the right thing for the environment – they are also about doing the right thing for our people,” said Tony Horrell, Colliers CEO UK & Ireland. “With these eBikes our people can travel longer distances in shorter times, arriving at their destination feeling motivated and energised. It’s a fun way to travel and a sustainable solution to commuting.”
