SxSW Cycle Challenge from Bristol to Plymouth raises funds for charities

A team of over 40 cyclists from real estate services company Colliers International rode 250 miles from Bristol to Plymouth to raise money for charity.

The Colliers SxSW Cycle Challenge – named because of the location and the direction of travel – set off from Castle Park in Bristol, and concluded at the Mayflower steps at Plymouth Docks.

The three day ride was part of fundraising activities being organised by Colliers staff for Cancer Research UK and the North West Children’s Support Group, a voluntary organisation which provides holidays and social events for disabled and disadvantaged children. The target is £15,000 across the two charities.

Tim Davies, head of South West and Wales at Colliers International, said: “The South West was selected as the location for the 2018 Colliers International Cycle Challenge, which is now in its 12th year and staff from the Bristol office turned out to give the cyclists a fanfare ‘grand depart’ when they left Castle Park in Bristol.

“The cyclists certainly earned the donations they received for the two chosen charities, by covering a challenging 250 mile route to Plymouth which took in the Mendip Hills, Exmoor, the Devon coast and Dartmoor.”
