Glasgow Motorpoint car supermarket sold for £6.25m

alt=""

Colliers has agreed the sale of a Glasgow car supermarket for £6,250,000 to a private investor.

The site in Hamilton Road, Mount Vernon, is let to the UK’s largest independent car supermarket operator Motorpoint. It is situated on 5.64 acres of land including 37,000 sq ft of building. Located close to junction 3 of the M74 and beside other car dealerships including Toyota and Peugeot.

John Roberts, head of Automotive & Roadside at Colliers said: “Despite last year being stop-start for the automotive industry it’s clear that there is pent up consumer demand and Motorpoint will continue to do well in the used car market. As well as a very strong tenant, the fact that this site is located in a prominent position and is underpinned by alternative use options made it an attractive long-term investment for the purchaser.”
