Global real estate advisor, Colliers International, has been appointed to sell 55-bedroom Portpatrick Hotel in Portpatrick, Scotland, on behalf of Shearings Leisure Group, a leading operator of escorted tours and leisure hotels. The agent is seeking offers in the region of £1.6 million.
Alistair Letham, a director in the Hotels Agency team at Colliers International, commented: “Although part of a larger group, the hotel is an established and successful business in its own right. This is due to a recent refurbishment programme, increasing the private leisure interest for a destination retreat. From both an operational and property perspective, there are exciting value added opportunities at each property.”
Occupying a stunning Galloway hilltop location, with views over the village and harbour, the hotel, along with three-self catering apartments, is set in over 10 acres of land and benefits from planning consent to develop an additional 24 bedrooms. Other features include a restaurant; three lounges; a bar and a nine-hole pitch and putt golf course. A separate three-bedroom bungalow is also located within the grounds.
The Portpatrick hotel is available on an individual or cluster basis. The other hotels in the portfolio include Strathmore Hotel in Morecambe, and Eden Arms Hotel, near Durham.
