Enterprise Facilities Management Advisory launched by Colliers International’s Occupier Services team

03 12 20 Enterprise Facilities Management Advisory service launched by Occupier Services team hero

With corporates’ renewed focus on employee experience and workplace wellness Colliers International’s EMEA Occupier Services organisation has launched a new Enterprise Facilities Management Advisory (EFMA) service.

The strategic outsourcing advisory offering will assist global and regional businesses to identify the most suitable operating models and partners for the delivery of their workplace and employee experience strategy. Industry expert Nicholas Marsh has joined Colliers International to lead the new service, bringing three decades of experience working both for clients and service providers with leading organisations in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Africa. His team will leverage Colliers’ European Occupier Cost Index to support clients’ in-house real estate teams to evaluate current facilities management strategy and experience, and where appropriate overseeing the re-procurement, transformation, and ongoing performance management of FM services.

“Workplace wellbeing and experience has moved to the top of the priority list for every business this year,” explained Nicholas. “We know from Colliers’ own global Work from Home survey that employees miss being able to come together in person to collaborate, but businesses need to be reassured that by bringing teams into the office the right steps are being taken to help everyone to remain as fit and healthy as possible. A focus on delivering an employee-centric workplace and facilities management experience, supported by innovative supplier partnerships, has become essential for businesses to attract and retain the best talent.

“Our independent position in the global FM industry ensures that we can provide clients with the best advice, and structure the appropriate supplier strategies that delivers the optimal customer and employee experience.”

The Colliers EMEA Occupier Services client offering has grown significantly this year. Only last month the team launched its Complex and Emerging Markets service to provide occupiers growing their business in markets such as Africa and the Middle East with end-to-end real estate solutions.

Andrew Hallissey, Executive Managing Director, Occupier Services EMEA said: “We are very excited to formally announce the launch of our new EFMA service proposition for our corporate clients in EMEA and the appointment of Nicholas, who is a highly respected and accomplished global facilities management leader bringing with him a unique blend of experience and energy to the role. He has advised on some of the largest FM outsourcing programmes in the industry and has a true partner-like approach, focused on delivering win-win outcomes.

“Our platform is uniquely placed to provide our global clients with the most progressive market trends impacting their industry and portfolio strategy. 2020 has forced all corporations to carefully examine the resilience of their operating models and real estate needs while prioritising the health, wellbeing and productivity of their staff.”

In addition to the new service lines the EMEA Occupier Service team also launched Workplace Expert last month, an online tool which uses benchmarking data and industry best practice from across the globe to enable businesses reimagine and rethink their office occupancy and workplace strategy.
