Colliers International secures new lease of life for central Stockport plot with £65 million development planned

Mixed use scheme at Royal George Village set to start on site in 2021.

Colliers Residential, City & Suburban Development team, on behalf of the Trafford College Group, has secured the sale of the former Stockport College Campus to Investar Property Group.

The 2.89 acre site will be the location for the £65 million Royal George Village development in central Stockport. Included within it are the 120,000 sq ft Torkington building, which will be converted to provide 120 residential units with a weighting towards affordable housing; the 63,000 sq ft Lyme building which will become a 250 apartment block and the 26,000 sq ft Grade II listed Greek Street Centre which is to be converted to co-working space.

Mike's client side experience means that he is well placed to provide consultancy advice from a developer perspective, particularly when negotiating the disposal or acquisition of opportunities.
