L'Etoile Properties and Capstone Asset Management have sold the Zalando Campus in Berlin to Hines. Hines has bought it on behalf of a Luxembourg fund. The campus is located in the Mediaspree office area and is still under construction. Pierce Capital Investments from Amsterdam has introduced the transaction to real estate advisor Colliers International. The Capital Markets team of Colliers International subsequently supervised the transaction.
The Zalando Campus consists of two buildings and offers approximately 42,000 square meters of office space. Both buildings have seven floors and 156 parking spaces and form the new prestigious Zalando headquarters. The property has been let to Zalando under long-term leases.
The office was designed by the famous architect firm HENN. 5,000 employees will be working at the head office. To increase the sustainability of the Zalando campus, the aim is to achieve a gold level in the DGNB system.
The buyer Hines was advised on the acquisition by BLP Berwin Leighton Paisner and PwC. The sellers L'Etoile Properties and Capstone Asset Management were additionally advised by Clifford Chance.
