With this certificate Martijn is qualified to value and determine the mortgage lending value (MLV) of real estate for German banks.
The MLV is a sustainable value that is valid for the whole duration of the loan and is not subject to temporary value fluctuations or speculations. To determine the MLV, specific valuation methods are applied. German banks that offer mortgage financing for the purchase of Dutch real estate, have difficulties getting reliable Dutch MLV appraisals. There are few valuers familiar with both the local real estate market and the regulations of the German Pfandbrief banks.

With the certification of Martijn Turenhout, Colliers International now has two valuers who are qualified to perform this type of valuations. In addition, Turenhout is specialized in hotel valuations. In combination with this certificate, a unique specialization can be offered to German banks that provide hotel financing.
