Regional Revolution Report

The mayoral elections were the next great step in pushing forward the UK regional development agenda, especially as the UK remains in focus for international real estate investors.  The prospect of integrating the ‘regional offer’ is heartening, as is the apparent continuity of Government commitment to a strategy announced by the UK’s previous chancellor George Osborne in June 2014 as part of his Northern Powerhouse speech in Manchester.  As the new mayors settle into their new roles, let’s hope that the development agenda accelerates and begins to contribute positively and substantially to the new UK economic realities.
