Acting on behalf of a private client, Colliers International has advised on the sale of Croft Bank Holiday Park in Skegness. The sale price was undisclosed.

Croft Bank Holiday Park has been acquired by Blue Anchor Leisure, a substantial local operator which owns and manages 15 holiday and lodge parks across the Skegness area.

Situated just outside the village of Croft, two miles from the seaside resort of Skegness, the 15 acre Croft Bank Holiday Park offers 146 statics/lodge pitches, 13 touring pitches and two camping pods. The site also benefits from a detached owners’ house, a two bedroom holiday apartment, fully stocked fishing lake and a large open grass paddock.

On the sale Richard Moss, Head of Colliers International’s Parks Team, who advised the vendor on the sale, said: “Our client has been in ownership of Croft Bank Holiday Park since 1991 and has invested heavily in the park during that time, building a successful business with a happy customer base and strong turnover. They are moving on to a larger park business. The sale is illustrative of a renewed vigour in the market place, fuelled by an increase in both consumer and investor confidence in the UK holiday sector.”

“Parks of this size and quality on the Lincolnshire coast attract a great deal of interest, which was demonstrated by the fact that the property went from being placed on the market to completion within three months despite being marketed on a highly confidential basis. Blue Anchor Leisure is a reputable and experienced operator in the Skegness leisure market and Croft Bank will be an excellent addition to their portfolio.”

Jonathan Moses, from Blue Anchor Leisure, added: “We are extremely pleased with the latest acquisition, which compliments and adds to the existing 15 caravan and leisure parks under our ownership.

“This is the second caravan park acquisition that we have made in the last 18 months in addition to extending 3 more existing caravan parks. We have had to make these purchases and extensions to keep up with the demand we face for the quality products we offer. The modern day caravan purchaser is looking for better quality caravans, sited in better parks with more landscaping & space.

With a constant refurbishment program on all of the sites the company has created a further 40 permanent full time position within the group and continues to invest with growing confidence for the future along the East Coast.”
