Colliers International’s Leeds office continues its recruitment drive with the appointment of Nick Twigg as Head of Building Consultancy for the Northern region.  Also joining the Leeds office is a new Valuation Surveyor in the Licensed & Leisure team, Ben Dewhirst.

Nick Twigg joins from GVA to head Colliers’ Building Consultancy and Project Management teams in the North. With 17 years of experience in Building Surveying, Nick specialises in city centre offices, advising clients from acquisition through to all stages of property cycle, including; acquisition advice, dilapidations, feasibility studies, refurbishment projects and asset enhancement. Most recently, Nick has advised a national care provider on the relocation of their head office from four local offices into two; one 40,000 sq ft building in Bradford, with the other in central London. 

In his new role, Nick will head Colliers’ building surveying and project management teams across the North of England, working across the major cities of Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Sheffield and Newcastle.

Also joining Colliers’ Leeds office is Ben Dewhirst. Ben joins the Licensed & Leisure team as a Valuation Surveyor and will have responsibility for valuing the full range of properties covered by the Licensed & Leisure team across Yorkshire and the North East. These include individual properties and portfolios of public houses, restaurants, nightclubs, casinos and health & fitness centres. 

Dewhirst joins from niche investment and development company, Trade Park Ltd, where he was Acquisition & Asset Management Surveyor, assisting the Directors in the appraisal and acquisition of new projects of up to £10 million in value. Before that, Dewhirst ran his own start up business – a UK residential property research company, with services targeted primarily at the private independent property investor market.
