Women’s active wear retailer, Sweaty Betty, is to open a new store at 3 Redchurch Street in London’s Shoreditch.
Having opened its first shop in Notting Hill 15 years ago, Sweaty Betty now has 38 boutiques around the UK and also two stores in New York. It has taken a new 10-year lease on the Shoreditch property.
Founder Tamara Hill-Norton commented: “We are very excited about the Redchurch Street store. It’s an area that’s full of energy and creativity. We are planning a store fit-out which reflects the dynamism of Shoreditch and its shopping environment”.
The store will open in August and will feature Sweaty Betty’s range which encompasses yoga clothes to running kit, ski to beach, gym wear to tennis apparel.
Sara Law of Colliers International – who advised Sweaty Betty on the acquisition – commented: “Sweaty Betty is the fitness clothing brand of choice for women. They will make a great addition to the unique retailing mix that is evolving on Redchurch Street”.
