Sophie Higgins has joined Colliers International from Kinney Green, where she has spent three years in its Midtown office agency team handling acquisitions and disposals. Prior to this, Sophie has completed internships within CBRE’s Capital Markets team, BNP Paribas’ City Agency team and Knight Frank’s Landlord and Tenant Advisory team.

Simon Crotty, Head of City Offices, Colliers International commented: “Sophie’s appointment follows a successful start to the new year for the City Agency team. Last year we transacted over 600,000 sq ft in the City - a healthy increase from 2012 – so it’s perfect timing to augment our leasing team and build on that success. We will be recruiting further during the year so that we can continue to meet this increasing demand.

“Sophie will work alongside myself and the Head of Colliers’ City Office, Mark McAlister, as well as City Agency Director Nick Pentecost and Associate Director, Hamish Cuming. Hiring a midtown specialist demonstrates our commitment to providing comprehensive advise for Central London in a market where tenants are becoming increasingly mobile.”

The news follows the recent appointment of James Gann, who has joined Colliers International earlier this year as Head of City Investment from Deloitte Real Estate. Last year, Colliers’ City Agency team completed one of the City’s landmark deals with News Corp Taking 430,000 sq ft at The Place.
