The event, sponsored and hosted by prominent title, Business Insider Magazine, is a major occasion for the regional property industry and was well attended by key movers and shakers.

Colliers’ win was largely credited to a deal brokered on behalf of Yorkshire Building Society to take 80,000 sq ft at Broad Gate in Leeds and the judges heaped particular praise on the deal being the largest in central Leeds since 2004.  They also commended Colliers for work across the region for a number of high profile clients and for transacting more than 350,000 sq ft of office space in the past 12 months, despite difficult economic conditions.

Colliers deal for Yorkshire Building Society was also awarded ‘Commercial Property Deal of the Year’ where the judges said the deal had ‘significantly changed the dynamics of Leeds in one single transaction….putting Leeds back on the map’!

Roddy Morrison, head of offices at Colliers in Leeds said, “We are of course delighted to achieve this recognition at such an esteemed industry event.  We have worked really hard as a team to make a difference in trying times and to be instrumental in some really ground-breaking deals gives us tremendous satisfaction and great momentum for the future.”
